Nesquehoning, Pa.-based ELK Group International (which includes the ELK Home, ELK Lighting, ELK Hospitality, ELK Lifestyle, Stein World, and Thomas Lighting divisions) has appointed Robin Gordon as VP/Marketing at ELK Group International. She will be based out of the ELK New York City office.
Prior to joining ELK, Gordon was the VP/Marketing for The Robert Allen Duralee Group, a leading designer and distributor of textile fabrics selected by interior designers and consumers for projects ranging from furniture, pillows, drapery, and other home goods and hospitality applications.
Reporting to David Pamer, CEO, Gordon will be responsible for traditional and digital marketing planning and the execution for all new product launches, including the development of marketing, sales, and training tools and collateral. She will be involved in the company’s website; the development and implementation of a “connection” strategy with end users, influencers, and sales associates in the distribution channel; and, where appropriate, will be involved in key account planning activities that are intended to drive profitable growth.
“I am thrilled with the addition of Robin to our team,” says Pamer. “We were quite fortunate to find someone of this caliber who has the skill set and experience to create a balanced strategy between traditional and digital marketing activities across our brands, our product categories, and our primary core and growth distribution channels,” he adds. “Her experience in developing long-term connections with end users and supporting distribution partners in marketing collateral and planning that are important to their success aligns with our overall business strategy. I am excited to experience the immediate impact she will have and the collaboration that she will drive between our product development, marketing, and sales functions in planning our new product introduction launches.”
“I’m very pleased to be joining ELK in an executive position,” Gordon comments. “I believe that, working with David Pamer and the ELK team, we can build a stronger identity and awareness for ELK and all its brands. My previous experience in the fabric and furniture industry is very relevant and will translate well into this new position. I am looking forward to the opportunity of identifying and opening new channels of distribution for the ELK products.”
