The largest lighting sales company in North America — SESCO Lighting — will be opening a new sales office in Pensacola, Fla, next month. This marks SESCO’s 13th office and will service the Florida Panhandle, Mobile, Ala., and Biloxi and Gulfport, Mississippi. After nearly 10 years of handling sales in the cities surrounding the northeast Gulf of Mexico from its office in Tallahassee, SESCO’s board of directors has decided that opening an office in Pensacola is the best way to continue servicing its regional clientele.
“Business is good for us right now, and that’s certainly nothing to complain about, but it’s gotten to the point where SESCO Tallahassee is overwhelmed with managing orders, mostly because its current territory is too large,” explained Mike Segal, board chairman and founder. “SESCO Pensacola will help lighten the load and, furthermore, ensure that our customers along the northeast Gulf have a local office and local lighting experts they can go to for all of their lighting needs.” Between its 12 existing offices, SESCO sold over $200M in lighting in 2010 alone — and 2011 and 2012 are expected to yield even higher sales volumes.
“SESCO cares about the environment — We always have and we always will. One of the things we’re looking to do with SESCO Pensacola is help catalyze a true paradigm shift in the way the lighting industry operates throughout the northeast Gulf coast,” Segal says. “For the sake of that region’s endangered ecosystem and its breath-taking beauty, we’re going to do our part to help ensure that sustainability and environmental-friendliness become top priorities for electrical construction.”
Jeff Crisp will be SESCO Pensacola’s general manager. The office will be operating at full capacity by November 1.
