The American Lighting Association (ALA) is looking for informative educators and presenters to share their lighting and business knowledge at ALA events scheduled in 2024.
The ALA’s membership is comprised of lighting manufacturers, retail showrooms, manufacturers’ representatives, designers, and associates involved in the residential lighting, ceiling fans, and control products industries.
Speaking Opportunities include:
- Annual Conference — The 2024 ALA Conference will take place at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida from September 22 to 24 and will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, and break-out education sessions.
- Virtual Member Forums — Educators will lead the discussion for 15-20 minutes before opening the session up for member questions/discussion (total forum time to run approximately 45-60 minutes). These events will be offered to each of ALA’s member categories: 2 Manufacturer sessions; 2 Manufacturers’ Representative sessions; and 2 Showroom sessions. Each attendee will receive 1 CEU credit. The sessions will be conducted via Zoom, with times and dates to be announced.
- Webinars — Webinars will be held monthly and cover a variety of relevant topics ranging from merchandising and marketing advice to technical lighting training, proven sales techniques, and helpful legal and business guidance. Each attendee will receive 1 CEU credit. The sessions will be conducted via Zoom, with times and dates to be announced.
- Lightovation — Sessions are held live in person during Lightovation in Dallas at the Dallas Market Center in January and June. The sessions typically run 1 hour in length. Lightovation is the largest residential lighting trade event in North America.
