Montreal-based VEROZZA, a relatively new supplier of high-performance architectural lighting products, has hired lighting industry veteran Eric Borden, LS, CPC, as President & CEO. Borden has been consulting with VEROZZA for most of 2020 and has assisted in bringing the VEROZZA brand to the North American marketplace.
Borden brings 40 years of experience in lighting sales, product development, training, and executive management to VEROZZA to guide the company’s growth throughout the U.S. and Canada. “Eric has been instrumental in bringing strategy and focus to VEROZZA since he began consulting with us,” says Sydney Oster, Managing Partner. “We are excited to have him continue as our President and CEO.”
Borden states that he is “thrilled to join VEROZZA at a time where so many challenges are present within the lighting space. I look forward to assisting all who are associated with VEROZZA and supporting to guide the company’s growth within the lighting community.”
Borden’s lighting career began with the Halo Lighting division of McGraw Edison before subsequently joining Capri Lighting, Juno Lighting, Sea Gull Lighting, and Kichler Lighting. Most recently Borden was President of Pathfinder Consultants, Inc, an electrical industry consulting firm. Selected as the American Lighting Association’s (ALA) Pillar of the Industry in 2014, Borden is well respected throughout the lighting community. His service and dedication include various committee memberships and chairs for the ALA, Co-Chair of the IES Residential Lighting Committee, membership on the National Association of Electrical Distributors’ (NAED) Manufacturer’s Council and many community volunteer initiatives. Borden holds BA and MA degrees from Rider University. Borden will be based in South Florida.
