WAC Lighting Launches New Division: Modern Forms
Buyers attending the International Lighting Market in Dallas were pleasantly surprised to see a new division debut from track & recessed lighting company WAC Lighting. Called Modern Forms, the new division is comprised of a full line of outdoor fixtures and vanity lights – all featuring LED. “ The look is very clean, with no visible screws or hardware, and is competitively priced,” explains Dirk Wald. “we’re able to keep the price down because we make our own components right down to the LED drivers.”

Expanding from the track and recessed category and into vanity fixtures and outdoor in LED was a natural progression. “No one has is doing it right at that price,” says Robert De’Armond, VP/Product Development & Design at WAC. “No one has made the investment. Everyone has dipped a toe in the water, but we’ve designed a light source as opposed to just a product,” he adds.
Shelley Wald, President of WAC, points out that top trend in bathrooms right now is for a very clean look. “We designed vanity lights that can suit any style home,” she states. “With LEDs, we can make the drivers so small that a lot of new shapes for fixtures are possible,” she says. Some of the fixtures are made in WAC’s California factory while others are made in the New York facility. The fixtures have a five-year warranty and are fully dimmable.
For the outdoor line, there are some fixtures that are offered in line-voltage LED as well as low-voltage. All of the vanity fixtures and outdoor models feature a replaceable LED module.
This is a trend I would love to see continue. LED is the future and the possibilities are endless!
These fixtures were gorgeous in person. Did you happen to see them at the Dallas Market in January?
