Previously slated for its usual – pre-pandemic – schedule of being held in May, Lightfair International will now be held from October 27-29 for the exhibition and October 25-29 for the educational sessions. The venue – the Javits Convention Center in New York City – remains the same.
In a statement to its membership, the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) explained, “Postponing until October 2021 allows us to facilitate a safer and more successful event. It will give exhibitors and attendees more time and flexibility to allocate budget and resources for the show and give the country and the world more time to flatten the curve, stabilize, recover, and return as close to normal as possible.”
Show organizers are anticipating a strong trade show based on the date change and plan to keep to the same floor plan as designed for May 2021. Additional information will be provided by show organizers shortly.
